Lot presentation
Aÿ Grand Cru Brut Fût de Chêne Henri Giraud 2000
The wine
The strength of this wine, which is aged in oak barrels, is the predominance of Pinot Noir in its composition. This complex, delicate wine's vinous, rich, generous side lends it a creamy character. On the palate, this cuvée retains a beautiful vivacity and a certain freshness; the finish has great aromatic strength.
About the Producer Henri Giraud
The young Henri Giraud champagne house is unusual in that it vinifies its wines in Argonne oak barrels, a Champagne forest. The vineyard, located in Aÿ, has well-located plots, in grand cru for the Pinots Noirs. The wines are vinous, slightly woody, quite original and very interesting.
